finally found a link to post in order for you to experience 'adhan' or the 'call to prayer'. this call is broadcasted from speakers on top of mosques, in the malls and on radio stations, 5 times a day. click here.
i must say that since we moved into the condo, i don't hear it as much. the first time i heard it in a while was when i was shopping in the mall the other day. sounds pretty bizarre hearing it throughout the mall over the loud speaker.

Thanks for the BLOG. I listened to the "call to prayer" audio clip -very interesting. In Canada we seem to be implementing just the opposite approach - we're trying to eliminate anything associated with "religion" instead of promoting it. Maybe we need to learn something from the moslum approach here too!
