since when did 25 degrees feel chilly???

when 25 degrees feels 'chilly' i think it is safe to say that we have climatized to the extreme desert heat!! the temperature during the day is steadily rising...we have now hit the 42 degree mark!!!! sure it sounds HOT but it honestly doesn't feel THAT hot...i'm serious. i think this is due to arriving us in the coldest month of the year here and climatizing as the temperature rises. i would think it would be quite difficult adjusting if arriving during the hot summer months.

i must admit that dressing for this temperature poses quite a challenge some days! because qatar is a muslim state it is advised that shoulders and knees be covered out of respect when in public. not a problem but why i ask are all the stores full of skimpy skirts and tank tops??? it sure makes it a challenge to shop!! of course you see the odd person exposing their knees and shoulders - mainly tourists but with doha being as small as it is and with mike working for the royal family we must abide by these 'rules' in case we were ever to run into someone mike works with...but what i wouldn't do to wear a tank top let me tell ya!!!! another one of those little things you take for granted ;)
